The Big Idea:
Every song you've ever loved started with someone sitting down and building something from nothing. A kick drum here. A melody there. A loop that just hits. In this class, students learn how to make original music using the same tools professional producers use every day — and by the end of the session, you'll have a finished song with your name on it.

What You'll Learn:

Finding Your Way Around Logic Pro — Getting comfortable in one of the most powerful music production tools on the planet. We'll learn the layout, the shortcuts, and how to make it feel like home.

Creating and Organizing Your Tracks — How to set up a session the right way from the start, so your ideas stay organized and your creative flow never gets interrupted.

Building a Drum Beat — Start with the backbone of every song. You'll learn how to program a drum pattern that grooves, knocks, and drives the whole track forward.

Playing or Drawing MIDI Notes — Whether you play keys or prefer to draw notes in by hand, you'll learn how to build melodies, chords, and basslines from scratch using MIDI — the language every producer needs to know.

Using Loops and Virtual Instruments — Discover Logic's massive library of loops and virtual instruments and learn how to use them as building blocks without making your track sound like everyone else's.

Recording Basic Audio — Grab a mic or plug in an instrument and lay down a real audio track inside your session. Hearing your own voice or playing come through the speakers in a mix is a whole different feeling.

Arranging a Short Song — Learn how to take your ideas and shape them into an actual song — intro, verse, chorus, outro. Structure is what turns a cool idea into something people want to listen to all the way through.

Basic Mixing Techniques — Volume, panning, EQ, reverb. We'll cover the essential tools that make every element sit in its own space and the whole track feel polished and professional.

Exporting Your Finished Song — When it's done, it's done for real. You'll export your track as a finished audio file, release-ready and all yours.

The Big Finale:
At the end of the session, every student will have a completed, original song — produced, mixed, and exported by them. Those tracks get shared with the Confluence community and are eligible for release under La Onda Records. Your beat. Your name. Your record.

Best For: Kids who love music but maybe don't play a traditional instrument yet — or musicians who are ready to explore what they can create on their own, without a band.
